On the honeymoon they find that they are complete stranges, and it ends in disaster: Johnny returns to the lines in Tennessee. A moving story of romantic love, and love of ones country. His fate hangs in the balance as the story moves from the fiery battle of Kennesaw Mountain to starving Atlanta, a reunion with Anna Bella and his attempt to escape capture.
