An illustrated biography of the Swedish Opera sensation Jenny Lind, as told by her daughter. Containing a color frontispiece, Jenny Lind in, "La Figlia Del Reggimento," and 16 plates. Johanna Maria Lind, Stockholm, Sweden, (1820 – 1887). She became highly regarded for soprano performances in Sweden and Europe, often known as the "Swedish Nightingale". In 1850 Lind and P.T. Barnum created an enormously successful American tour. Chapters are arranged by date, 1820-1840, through to her death. Chapter 10. Punch and Jenny Lind, 11. Her Art and Personality. Index.
