Beginning with January; weaving nature's changing weather, with her cycle of blooms, woodland animals and other wonders of nature. Along with it's affect on mortals who inhabit the earth. Illustrated with 9 full page woodcuts by Clinton Balmer: The Milky Way Revealed to Lonely Herdsman, Rejoicing Shout of Summer, On the Topmost Boughs The Faires Sleep; etc. Many head pieces, first letters of chapters illuminated. Various pages uncut, rough cut edges. Light blue cloth boards with Art Deco floral decoration to front, black lettering to spine. Spine mildly sunned. DW brown paper, not price clipped, illustrated with woodland woodcut, and description of book. Chip to upper corner, spine ends tiny chips to edges, pale remains of pen line to lower corner. Rear DW, lists books of interest. Few chips and closed tears, to lower edge of frontispiece, from rough opening of uncut page. All else clean, solildy bound. No inscriptions. In brodart mylar.
