Highly popular in it's time with reprints into the 19th century. Decorative first letter to chapters, foot pieces, two full page illustrations preceding title page, tissue separation. Brown cloth stamped floral design with gilt stamped title. Spine stamped with floral decorations and large bright gilt title panel. mild rubbing of extremities and bumping of spine ends. Front and rear hinges cracked. Text block solid in covers, clean, green silk marker. Few very tiny rub spots to boards, small closed indent to spine. 646 pp. sm 8 vo. circa 1865's.
