A timeless children's story with realistic descriptions of Dutch localities, customs cobined with mystery and fantasy. Facsimile of dedication page by Mary Mapes Dodge.
Bue cloth color illustrated paste down to front board, mild rubbing, skate decorations to border. Stamped faded gilt title, author and publisher to spine. Mild rubbing of extremities, few soil spots. Text block tight, very good edition of this popular Victorian Era publication.4 to. 960 pages. In protective clear wraps.
