A story taken place in rural England (1889); about the adventures of young Dick, his friends and the Manor House, owned by the Squire who was Blazer's master. Illustrations by Gordon Browne throughout, with decorations and headpieces. Green stamped cloth, with Dick being chased by geese, tinted blue and gilt, gilt title. Soil darkened with rubbed edges. Spine rubbed, gilt title with gilt lettering below 519. Spine has been reinforced, ends bumped, rear board has damp stain. splatters. Color bookplate to pastedown. Spotty foxing to first 12 pages, including frontispiece and title page. Tightly bound, Religious Tract Society ads to rear. 188 pp, sm 8vo circa late 1800's.
