Dyer Indiana The Bobbs-merrill Company 1899 Hard Cover Very Good James Whitcomb Riley (1849-1916), Indiana, "The Hoosier Poet," most famous for his hometown tales of childhood. Riley's lovely book of poetry with photographic illustrations throughout. With pieces titled: Dream; Her Face and Brow; Ike Walton's Prayer; Has She Forgotten?; An Old Sweetheart of Mine; Last Night and This; My Bride That is To Be; Very Youthful Affair, A; When My Dreams Come True, and many others, 77 photo illustrations with head and tailpieces. William B. Dyer, American photographer in 1897. This was first and only solo illustrated book. He was elected a member of The Linked Ring, championed by Clarence White to Alfred Stieglitz and published in Camera Notes and Camera Work. Green cloth illustrated boards and spine, gilt backed illustration of a woman in profile, with heart decorations, bright gilt title and decorations to front board and spine. Slight bump in board, and upper corner, tiny cloth abration. Same to e.p. and first few pages. Slight sunning of spine, rear board mild fading to edges, 1/2 inch ding to upper edge few cloth bubbles. Frontispiece with tissue guard, crease down guard. Red and black text to title page, each page edge has a very mild indentation. All else very clean, bright text and photographs, tightly bound. A lovely gift book of romance and love poems. 190 pp, sm 8 vo. Price:
