A novel about the life of a retired Madam "Jeannette," her past, and the house she runs; infused with philosophical and religious symbolism. #825, Author Signature under, "This Edition of the Joy Peddler is strictly limited to 1285 signed and numbered copies of which 1250 are for sale by subscription only." Black paper dw, chipped to extremities, closed tears to flaps and at joints. Blue black paper boards over black cloth spine, gilt title to front board and spine, slight bumping of spine ends, red title and author are still faintly visable. Text clean and bright, solidly bound, various pages un-opened. DW in mylar jacket. 370 pp, tall 8 vo.
