1 DOYLE, A. CONAN. MICAH CLARKE, HIS STATEMENS AS MADE TO HIS THREE GRANDCHILDREN, JOSEPH, GERVAS AND REUBEN, DURING THE HARD WINTER OF 1784.
New York: A.L. Burt. Hard Cover Very Good 
Originally written in 1889, one of Doyle's historical romances. "Wherein contained, a full report of certain passages in his early life, together with some account of his journey from Havant to Taunton with Decimus Saxon in the summer of 1685, also of the adventures that befell them during the Western rebellion, and of their intercourse with James, Duke of Monmouth, Lord Grey, and other persons of quality." Historical adventure novel set during the Monmouth Rebellion of 1685 in England. Nice clean glossy frontispiece. Maroon cloth boards and spine, bright gilt lettering to spine, spine ends bumped, mildly rubbed. Slight one inch damp stain to margin edge of frontispiece, not affecting illustration. Rear board has a shallow ding to board, faint fade mark. Nice sound clean, tightly bound. Appendix, five pages of Ads. sm 8 vo, 403 pp. Reprint circa 1906.

Deep green cloth boards and spine, brightly illustrated with soldier, green lettering, very clean bright, mild rubbing of hinge and spine end. Contents very clean, tightly bound. Beautiful condition. First American Edition, copyright page stating "First Published September 1903". sm 8vo, 296 pages In polyester protective film covering.

One of Doyle's mystery novels produced after the demise of Sherlock Holmes in 1894; a young Frenchman, who, returns to France, after growing up in England during the time of Napoleon Bonaparte's "Prise de pouvoir" to offer him his services. 11 illustrations plus frontispiece, by Bruce Tauber. Red buckram, gilt & silver decorations & lettering. Spotty fade marks to spine & rear edge, lettering to spine faded in part. Tear to lower edge of rear pastedown. Pgs. 136-37, 242-43, 280-81, have stain from paper laying in book, text readable. Mild foxing of title page & few fox marks to margins of 1st few pages. All else clean, tightly bound. Intriguing Napoleonic mystery. sm 8vo, 302p
